Many of you are aware of the super fun Dachshund Dash that we put on each year to benefit the Central Dakota Humane Society (CDHS). The event is currently scheduled for September 29th, 2018. We plan to have food, CDHS merchandise tables, music, entertainment for the kids, and of course the dachshund races! Last year we had 70 dogs entered to run in the dash, and we were able to donate just over $1300.00 to CDHS that was raised from the event. It was really a great turnout; several people came just to donate and watch the little dogs run. If you have participated in the dash in any form, first and foremost, we want to say Thank You! Without the participants and those who donate, we wouldn’t be able to have our dash each year.
The Dachshund Dash is scheduled for September 29th, 2018, and we are hoping for more dogs and more people to attend the event this year. You don’t have to be a client of Bismarck Animal Clinic & Hospital to enter your dog to run; you don’t even have to have a dog to join in the fun! Everyone is welcome to come watch this event and cheer for their favorite racer. Pre-race and registration will start at 10:00am and races will start at 11:00am. Each year we do our best to outdo the previous year. We are always open to suggestions on how to improve the event, so send us an email if you have any thoughts (firstname.lastname@example.org attn. Dachshund Dash). This year, we are adding to the kid’s activities so that they’ll have a few things to do during the registration time. There will be hotdogs, beverages and chips available, and CDHS will have tables filled with lots of goodies for sale.
Another exciting project that is still in the works is a calendar that will be filled with the pets of some of our clients. Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo of their pet, we are doing are best to incorporate everyone! The goal is to have the calendar up for sale by Oct 2018, more details yet to come on this. All proceeds raised will be donated to Carrie’s Kids, a local organization supporting kids and teens. We are hoping to continue producing this in the future to help out some of the other deserving local organizations in town.
Hope to see you all around the clinic and at the Dachshund Dash this year!
